Orthoceras Pendant

An Orthoceras is a fossil Nautiloid Cephalopod from the Paleozoic era of 370 million years ago. They lived in the ocean and hunted anything from trilobites to plankton.
A grounding gem for new beginnings and deep personal growth. An ancestor stone.
This ancient fossil gem is from my stash collected over 30 years ago traveling Asia and Europe.
I have set it into a handcrafted sterling silver minimalist pendulum style setting.
The setting and the generous 50cm double link curb chain have been oxidised to compliment the natural black and white tones of the gem. Making it a perfect length for layering.

The pendant measures 62 mm from the top of the bail to the tip
